The four-mile length of Cannon Beach, which includes Tolavana Park, has a spectacular landmark just off shore, Haystack Rock. This magnificent monolith rises 235 feet above sea level and is protected as a National Wildlife Refuge and Marine Garden. It rises at almost the exact midway point of the beach and by itself makes Cannon Beach scenery spectacular. The strand is for walking, jogging, beachcombing, biking or horseback riding.
