Ocean City is known for being the family beach, providing all of the traditional amusements and rides while prohibiting the sale of alcohol since its founding in 1879. Smaller and more manageable than the other New Jersey hotspots, its 2 1/2-mile boardwalk is the main attraction and was voted one of the best boardwalks in the world.

Ocean City caters to the kid in all of us, with beaches that allow almost any watersport and playgrounds on virtually every corner. But if you’re still left craving nightlife, Atlantic City is only a 20-minute drive away.
